Things are heating up on the Jack McBain front as he’s being trotted around like a show pony to interested parties.
Guerin is expected to trade the 2018 third-round pick in the coming days after the Boston College senior informed the Wild that he doesn’t plan to sign with them because he doesn’t see a center opening in the future with Ryan Hertman, Joel Eriksson Ek and Freddy Gaudreau and first-round pick Marco Rossi expected to be on the team next season.
Montreal, Winnipeg and Arizona are three of many teams showing interest, and the asking price is a second-round pick. Guerin has told McBain’s adviser that he had better come to him with multiple options or he’ll make McBain wait to sign an entry-level contract as a free agent in August.
