We start our general manager rankings from the bottom: #31 - Marc Bergevin of the Montreal Canadiens Bergevin has been GM since 2012, and always seems to have misdirection. Whether he goes all-in on a sub-par team only to swing and miss, or sell players with significant upside, Bergevin always seems to make the wrong decision. The Subban for Weber trade looks disastrous, and Weber still has eight years left on perhaps the leagues worst contract. The Price contract hasn’t even begun and it already has question-marks. Other trades that have haunted Bergevin include trading top prospect Mikhail Sergachev, to try and quick fix their centre ice position with Jonathan Drouin. That, along with trading away now Stanley Cup Champions Lars Eller and Devante Smith-Pelly, as well as former third overall pick Alex Galchenyuk all look terrible on his resume. Picking Jesperi Kotkaniemi at three in this past draft adds to the confusion. Why force a pick just for position when better players are still on the board? Bergevin has got to be near the end of his tenure as GM of the Canadiens. #Bergevin #Montreal #Canadiens #NHLDiscussion Une publication partagée par NHL.DISCUSSION????????
