- Un journaliste de St-Louis propose un SWAP avec le CH...

- En envoyant Vladimir Tarasenko à Montréal...

- Contre Jonathan Drouin...

"Tarasenko and Drouin are both in the final two years of their deal, so neither team would be responsible to pay salary or have any cap hit from this deal beyond that point. Drouin’s deal costs $5.5 million against the cap and the same in actual dollars. Tarasenko’s contract, however, will cost $7.5 million against the cap, but the base salary is worth $9.5 million in 2021-22 and $5.5 million in the last season.

This trade would offer the Blues $2 million in cap savings in both years, but also $4 million in actual dollars. For a team whose market is significantly smaller than the Canadiens, that is a worthwhile savings. For Montreal, one of the league’s top-earning franchises, an extra $4 million against the cap isn’t significant enough to walk away from a possible deal".
